Anna’s journey into jewellery began as a child trawling antique fairs with her Father, collecting special objects and vintage stones, over time building a collection of artefacts that have gone on to become the inspiration for her collection. Lumps of antique citrine, carved crystal paperweights and engraved Navajo belt buckles have all become reimagined into modern jewels.
She grew up surrounded by the sea in The Channel Islands and spent summers travelling the Greek islands absorbing the beauty of the slowness of everyday life. Since then she was been immersed the fashion world for the past ten years, traveling the world and gathering references for her own collection.
Throughout her travels through India she was inspired by the beauty of daily adornment. Trucks decorated with tassels and hand painted murals, concrete boulders embossed with floral motifs and alters of petals and incense on every corner. Anna’s inspiration is rooted in combining elements of culture. A mid century Italian gold cigarette case takes on a form of a single earring with sparkling diamond droplets, combing elements of Rajasthani architecture and European culture. Anna also credits her inspiration to being present in a constantly moving world, noticing daily moments of beauty and freezing them in time.
“My jewellery is a love letter to the world and to moments in time that light me up and inspire me, like the last rays of sun hitting the window at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. The cluster of salt that collects on your skin after a long day in the sea. The smell of a new country when you step of the plane. Winter sun and a peach by the beach. The perfect croissant, sand in your headphones and hot Spanish pavements. Bangles collected after years of exploration. The smell of espresso mixed with cigars. Incense and chai and pieces of rough turquoise. It’s the hum of a city yet to be explored and the perfect pair of vintage jeans.”
